What we do
Learn Telugu AI is a mobile app that teaches real, spoken Telugu to English speakers. Most Telugu courses and textbooks teach formal Telugu — the kind used in writing, news and official documents. But that's not how people actually talk. We focus on colloquial Telugu: the everyday language spoken by tens of millions of people in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Telugu communities around the world.
How it works
The app uses AI-powered speech recognition so you can practise pronunciation and get instant feedback. Lessons are bite-sized and designed for daily practice, with spaced repetition to help you retain vocabulary over time. The curriculum is structured to take you from complete beginner to conversational Telugu, covering greetings, everyday phrases, numbers, and real-world conversations.
Why we built this
Telugu is one of the most widely spoken languages in India, with over 80 million speakers. Yet good resources for learning spoken Telugu as an English speaker are surprisingly hard to find. Learn Telugu AI was built to close that gap — to help English speakers learn the Telugu that people actually speak, in a way that's accessible, effective, and fits into a busy schedule. It comes from the team behind Learn Tamil AI.
